Ozymandias
by Percy Bysshe Shelley (1792-1822)
This poem was written as a comment on human arrogance. It was inspired on a broken statue near Luxor, Egypt. The translation of the writings on the statue reads as follows:"I am King of Kings, Ozymandias. If anyone knows how great I am and where I lie, try to surpass my deeds." - Arthur
