"INVICTUS"
William Ernest Henley (1849-1903)
The latin word "invictus" means invincible. As a child, Henley had one of his feet amputated. He was ill most of his life and wrote during a two-year stay in a ward. He was a great friend of Robert Louis Stevenson and the character Long John Silver might have been inspired by him. - Arthur
